Good morning from Los Angeles, California! I hope you slept well, because I didn’t. I have trouble sleeping with city noise, not to mention I was ecstatic to hop aboard our cruise! Embarkation day is here!
7:28 AM: I have showered and packed, and now I’m waiting for my family to wake up.
8:58 AM: Everybody’s up! We’re all ready to go. At 9:30 we are planning to head out and go to the cruise terminal. My outfit: Black shorts, pink tank-top, tan sweater, two braids, and pink sunglasses. Emily’s outfit: Black pants, my maroon sweater, and half up braid. Mom’s outfit: Blue jeans, white button up shirt. Dad’s outfit: Shorts and a T-shirt.
11:06 PM: We made it onto the ship after waiting in a long security line, and we had a nice meal at the buffet. The food is, of course, amazing, and I’m sure to get fat by the end of the week!
12:33 PM: After checking out our muster station and signing into the kids program, we went to the Piazza to sit.
3:00 PM: We went to the sail away party! The ship’s singers and dancers were there, and they put on a lovely performance.
3:15 PM: Our boat played the love song theme as we departed from LA. We had a dance party, and my dad tried to do the Cupid Shuffle.
3:52 PM: Emily and I returned to the room to get a paper for a free necklace.
6:22 PM: We enjoyed a nice dinner in the Ketchikan dining room. The food was amazing! I got an Indian cabbage thing, and Emily got two Caesar salads, pasta, and something else I can’t recall. We also got free necklaces for attending a jewelry raffle! I’m going upstairs to get dessert!
9:43 PM: After watching a ventriloquism show and a comedy set, I’m calling it a night. I’ve returned to my cabin for some beauty sleep!
