Good morning, and welcome back to another day in my crazy chaotic life (I enjoy every moment)!

Yesterday was insane. It was our very last track practice ever, and we perfected our events for districts. I have so much sand in my hair, it’s not ok. Mikka and I left practice early because we had our first day of cheer tryouts, which was great…which brings us to today.

Yay! Today is districts day! Mikka and I are missing day two out of three for cheer, which gives us a major disadvantage, but it’s fine, because we’ll bring it on Wednesday (Mikka’s Birthday!). Anyway, after the meet, we will head back to the school, catch up on the cheers we missed, and then go to the band concert at seven. I’m missing Spanish class for the next two weeks (more on that later).

Wednesday will be just as crazy! Mikka’s birthday, of course, will be amazing. I’m going to school early for High School Zero Period Choir, because I’m singing in a descant group, and then during my normal choir class, I will be the only person. Mrs. Walchenbach told me to bring by guitar or work on my songs, or homework or something. We’re also leading in chapel, which I absolutely love, except this time, we don’t have any of our seventh graders, meaning no drums, electric guitar, or keys (I’ll cover that). Mikka and Emelia are speaking in chapel this week, and I’m beyond thrilled! As if it couldn’t get any crazier, we have cheer tryouts (like, for real, for real tryouts) right after school, at three.

I also have to juggle managing line memorization for a devised theater class I’m in, write my testimony for the end of year chapel, and figure out what to do with myself next Tuesday! Usually, I would have accredited Spanish class, but not next Tuesday.

I love track so much, and I was super excited for the end of season banquet, where I get to see my friends one last time and eat great food. I’m also super excited, because I got nominated for an award at my school. Well, it turns out both the award ceremony and the track banquet are next Tuesday at the same time. Luca also got nominated for an award, so he’s dealing with the same issue, and we are super sad. Because the banquet starts at 6, and the awards at 6:30, we may be able to say goodbye to the coaches before we receive the awards (in semi-formal attire, might I add), thus getting the best of both worlds.

Well, anyway, I’m off to pack my bags for the day and pretend I’m not completely overdoing it.
