On Good Friday, Jesus died on a cross made for criminals. It seemed like the end of the story. All hope was gone.
Until Sunday morning.
The tomb was empty, the stone removed. Death was dead.
There is a hope.
Today is Easter Sunday, and I just want to remind you why we are celebrating. The secular world turns this holiday into a celebration of spring and bunnies. Spring and bunnies are great, but Jesus is so much better.
What better outcome could there have been? From death to fresh new life and renewal through Jesus Christ. We were dead in our sin, but we rose with Jesus.
Lord, this is my prayer today. I pray that every person who reads these words be blessed and be a blessing to those around them. Remind them that You are the reason for Easter. Work in their lives that their lives would be changed.
