Last night, my dad took me and Emily to the daddy-daughter dance. It was really fun, and I enjoyed spending quality time with my family (my mom was also there, serving dessert).

There were only a handful of teens, the majority of the girls being in elementary school. I was sort of disappointed there weren’t more older girls, because there shouldn’t be an age that is too old to hang out with your dad.

If you want some ideas for daddy-daughter activities for any age, I’ve got you covered:

  • Go out to dinner at your favorite restaurant and talk about life. Maybe make this a tradition!
  • Go to an activity such as bowling or mini golf. You get extra points if there’s competition!
  • Go shopping. Maybe this one’s more for the girls, but my dad is quite the stylist!
  • Make goals to learn something together. Maybe a dance, craft, or recipe.
  • Make dinner for the family and see if Mom approves. Most likely, she will have doubts, but you can impress her with your mad culinary skills!

There are so many other things that you can do with your dad. My advice: make the time to spend time together, because those are the moments you will cherish forever!
