Remember last week, when I told you about my weekend plans? Well, it finally happened!
Yesterday at three, Claire picked me up and we went to Fred Meyer to get some polaroid film for her camera. She makes a junk journal full of life experiences, which is so cool.
We went to Chipotle to grab dinner before getting to Mrs. W’s house. She and her family were going to surprise her sister for her birthday. So sweet! Gracie is her puppy we were watching. Gracie is so perfect, and soft, and altogether adorable. We had no problems with her at all. Gracie got the zoomies a couple of times, and it was hilarious to see the sweet little puppy bouncing off the walls.
Claire and I first attempted to make guacamole. There was some pink on the first avocado, and we assumed it was mold, totally freaked out, and threw away the avocado. We did this three times before realizing the “mold” was simply avocado peel residue. We eventually managed to make the guac, which we enjoyed, along with our dinner, on the back porch.
Mrs. W’s house is so clean and perfect, we felt awful making a mess, but Mrs. W assured us that we could bake whatever we wanted. Because I don’t eat sugar, and Claire can’t have gluten, we made sugar-free, gluten-free chocolate chip cookies which were VERY dry, but tasted okay. I’m super positive, so I gave them an 8/10, but Claire said they were more a 6/10. Hint: trust Claire more than me. We decided “they were made with love and little else” and they “do not taste like a compromise.” Let’s just say, we had a lot of fun.
After dessert, we played card games and watched the Wicked movie until Mrs. W came home.
Another adventure to add to the list!
Wish I could’ve been there!
Aww, I know! We talked about you though!
